People who type ‘kk’

What does this mean? What is it short for? I get chicks, but I work with a couple grown men that do this. Is it just that much harder to type ‘ok’?

Just saying "ok" without any additional context very frequently comes across as sarcasm. "kk" is basically to get around that.

I find ‘k’ or any variance of it to be the rudest text message possible. I usually tell people if it’s genuinely in their texting vocabulary that I will not continue texting them.

this reminds me of the hate towards the Facebook messenger thumbs up. Someone very close to me perceives it as insulting when I give her the thumbs up. I mean they put the damn thing right there to be easy
