All we wanted for years was to have a team that could make the ncaa tournament.

Well that’s what we have. Let’s see where it goes from here. Make the tourney and its truly anyones to win.

If we lose out first round, we still had a successful season. Far better than the crap we had before Wade & we were able to have some excitement by making the tourney.

Why all the comments on this team sucks, this team won’t go anywheres, this team won’t make it past the first round, Will Wade is garbage, etc???

Man y’all are a tough crowd.

A lot of posters weren't born yet when Trent went 11-20 in back to back seasons. Will Wade raised the level of this program too fast so now everyone expects 16-2 in the SEC and a conference championship every season.

Well, everyone speaks in hyperbole on the internet.
Many people are upset but few people actually want wade fired, just like very few people actually think wade is an infallible head coach.

I’m sorry, I just can’t get excited about basketball. Making the NCAA tournament should be the minimum acceptable. That means you’re one of the top 64(66) teams. But getting there and losing in the first round…who cares. A consistent run of making it to the Sweet 16, then I can get excited.

Perfect, just stick to not watching it. We don’t need more dumbass basketball posters on this site.

If making it is the minimum, then you ought to love Wade, he’s the only one who has consistently met the minimum requirements in 30 years.

There are 68 teams in the tournament and it is not the top 68 in the country. It is the top 45, plus auto bids.

If you don’t know anything about the sport, just sit in the peanut gallery and know your role.

Wade has taken us to levels that are unrivaled in LSU basketball history. That is a fact

To Will Wade's credit..... he has raised the expectation level for MBB to a level we aren't use to.
This '22 squad has outstanding athletic attributes ... but also has major deficiencies with shooting the ball and decision making.
This all equates to being a fan of the MOST FRUSTRATING team to follow and cheer for in my F*^#+*# lifetime!!!
Will Wade has reached the point of implosion and he has to be the most frustrated of us all.

Ehh,
Can’t agree there, but he has done a great job considering the obstacles he has in the modern game.
LSU in the 80’s was probably the pinnacle

You think a lot of posters are 12 years old or younger? I mean chronologically, not intellectually

Bold statement considering we don’t know our opponent yet. But we do know they will be a lower seed

how long do you have to watch this team struggle to finally get a grip on what their ceiling is?

I can assure you the team we face had struggles as well. Hence why they’ll be a lower seed than us lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose, but we’ll be favored.

I agree in regards to his success. Hell, if he didn’t have sportswriters, refs and the NC2A on our tails, you would be crazy to suggest he not be retained.

I know LSU is a football blue blood but wanting more than just making the dance should be the goal.

Wade inherited an absolute dumpster fire from Johnny Jones. A team that had its highest rated recruit leave for the NBA mind you

First season makes post season with NiT.

Second season starts with a player passing away under unfortunate circumstances. We win the SEC at 16 and 2. Every media outlet in the country blasts wade before ncaa tourney. Tigers make sweet 16 with out their head coach. 2 best players leave for NBA. Waters and Naz.

Third season- ncaa tourney team. Post season cancelled due to covid. Skylar mays graduates and goes to nba. Emmit williams leaves LSU early for pro basketball somewhere.

Fourth season - ncaa tourney team. Three best players all leave for NBA.

Fifth season. Ncaa tourney team. Tari goes to NBA. X and days both graduate and probably end up playing pro ball somewhere.

Wade is developing players into NBA and pro basketball players at a very impressive rate. His recruiting has been building and building every year. We have a possible four 5 star recruits on next years team. We almost have 4 star players filling the rest of the roster.
Wade is going to give us a national title contender soon. Next couple of seasons. Just my opinion.

People are used to the football team and baseball team. They forget that basketball has been way behind for years, barely managing winning seasons or putting up losing seasons frequently in the past 15 years. Will Wade has been so good that he made everyone forget how hard it is just to make the tourney - now we make it every year. Hell we couldn’t make the tournament with Ben Simmons, and Wade doesn’t have anyone near that talent
