He doesn't need one. He'll take Ukraine and those saying "Russia can't win!" will move on to the next moronic talking point that the establishment tells them to repeat

He is winning, so there’s no off ramp.

Advance to the Dnieper River, seize Kiev, absorb the eastern Ukraine into Russia (Dnieper River eastward), sue for peace, give Kiev back to the Ukraine as a condition of peace.

I have no idea, but when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are done building it for him, we'll be the first to know.

I think the trap is almost sprung. Russia is isolated in the banking and economic sectors and stretched thin militarily. Its present situation is both untenable and unsustainable. If the war does not change dramatically to its favor in the coming days, it will end up trading oil for basic necessities such as imported food. It will have no other currency to exchange.
The only off ramp that I see is for Putin to make a peace deal within the next week, declare some sort of victory, and attempt to re-establish economic relations with the West. If that does not materialize, I see a breakdown in central government power within Russia that will continue until the leadership is changed.

Putin will eventually take Ukraine but then he has a massive problem on his hands. He can’t install a puppet government and pull out because the people will just kill all of them and then Putin is right back where he started. He will have to leave the Russian military behind to keep those people in charge and then the real war starts. All these Ukrainian soldiers and civilians will start fighting like Insurgents and chew up the Russian Army. If Putin was smart he would cut bait right now and pull those guys out before he ends up like we did in Afghanistan. It may be more of what the British had to go through with the IRA than what we did in Afghanistan.

Worst case scenario for Russia would be if Ukraine is unwilling to cede the Donbas in exchange for peace. Then the trap will be fully spring. At that point Russia will either have to commit to years of isolation and degradation in exchange for a bloody and unsustainable military victory, or withdraw with no gains.
At this point, Ukraine holds the stronger cards.

Nothing good, other than purging western poison and kick starting a whole new economic alliance in BRICS with their own swift system. May be tough now, but in the long run it could workout for them. He will take portions of Ukraine and his hope is to keep what is left of Ukraine neutral

I really think this whole ordeal is going to split the world economically that will end US hegemony. They have a ton of support on their side. It’s going to be interesting

That people downvote this post is a great example that there are, in fact, people pulling for Russia
No sensible person doesn't see the looming problem for Putin if/when he's successful in overrunning Ukraine.

If the Potatus had any negotiation skills - he would offer a brokered settlement wherein Ukraine would remain a buffer zone, with a pledge that it would never join NATO.
And that we would cease funding our bio non weapons labs that are top secret in Ukraine
In exchange for full withdrawal of Russia and cease fire.
But the top secret for no reason bio non weapons lab, Green New Deal Fantasy dreams, and other financial interests of multiple US Gvt people that are probably even more skeezy than the biology research * going on there - combined with the idiocy that comprises this moronic administration is preventing this from occurring

what worries me most about this situation is we are stuck with a Carter when the situation calls for a Reagan.
Hopefully we still have some charlie wilsons in congress.

This is a reasonable offer for Russia. At this point though, the US has the upper hand by a wide margin. We have kept out of the mud and maintained military neutrality while inflicting a blow to Russia that is still growing. The impact won’t be felt until after the damage is irreversible in the near term. Biden’s strong play is to stay aloof and allow Russia to fall farther into the trap. With Russia hobbled, the US and our western allies will be stronger on the world stage.

Hopefully a 350 Magnum to the head.
