I would say that minimizing dependence on fossil fuels would lead to greater energy independence.

Or we could actually utilize the fossil fuels available our country to gain greater enemy independence. Just a thought.

And also lead to greater dependence on something else. Such as petroleum byproducts, metals and any other materials that go to support minimizing that dependence on fossil fuels.

Part of this Net zero plan is to cut out all meat consumption and agricultural farming. It literally says on the net zero website that they wanna cut out all shipping and transportation services by 2050 - and almost all air travel. They will get to fly of course.

Please explain how increased utilization of our own domestic resources is not believing in the free market.

It is you leftist wackos that are killing the free market by artificially limiting supply and increasing cost.

The bottom line is we're dependent on electricity. I like to keep an open mind, and my eye on the goal - generating electricity. We don't know what all ways in the universe electricity can be generated, it only makes sense to keep exploring it.

Can you imagine a world where electricity is virtually free like air and water? After all, we're constantly surrounded by electro-magnetic fields. Energy is all around us in many forms.

How do you propose to increase that utilization?

I'm not limiting supply, I'm not even advocating for it.

Tesla was working on that, but they ruined him.

Would still need fossil fuels for many things.

Fossil fuels are available on the global market. Why would we restrict where a refinery can buy its oil? Currently, the way to do that would be for domestic supply to be cheaper than foreign supply. How do you propose to assure that?

I'm not the one proposing telling refineries in the US where they can and can't buy their stock.

It seems like you are extrapolating something out of a statement that wasn't there.

This on it's own, doesn't seem to warrant the response you provided. Wanting to further OPEN UP a market does not strike me as "against the free market."

How about this? Your kinfolk have been saying we are going to run out of fossil fuels since the 70's. Maybe its time to stfu, stop the rhetoric, and let the technology develop organically and sensibly?
