The trusty old ion party speaker finally quit.
Looking for battery powered/rechargeable that can fill a decent area outdoors.
Whatcha listening to this summer OT?

JBL Flip 4
They have several bigger ones but the Flip 4 is plenty big imo. Puts out great sound
ETA: Looks like the Charge 4 is slightly bigger and only around $100 right now. That’s a good deal

What he said. JBL flip 4

Had our Alpine Waterproof Rock Speakers for 4 years running.
Solar Power is all we use but it does come with charger.

UE Megaboom. Can pair with another one if desired.

I have a JBL Charge. It puts out pretty big sound and is waterproof and rechargeable.

Turtle Box
I second this. A buddy has one and it seems to be pretty legit. I’m planning to buy one for the summer to bring to grand isle.
Turtle boxes can be paired with each other to fill an area with even more sound.

I use one of these on my boat, it is impressive.

Sony XB33. It's plenty loud enough to hear over my boat's 200 Yamaha at full throttle.

I also have a sonos move. It's a better sounding speaker than the megaboom but not nearly as rugged or portable. The battery on the megaboom also lasts a really long time.

Wonderboom
Waterproof and gives me about 10 hours on one charge. Will link with one other Wonderboom. Surprisingly a large amount of sound from such a small speaker. Can throw in the pool and still works.
Job rockers are also durable but are large with a lot of sound. Rolls like a piece of luggage and can charge devices with it.

I’ve got the JBL Flip 5….it is a stellar little speaker. I use this primarily for tailgating, which consists of ten or so people around a couple of pickup trucks and a tent or two and it works perfectly for that. It is waterproof and holds a charge for several hours.
