I think it was the year where we had Waters, Bigby Williams, Mays, and newcomers like Naz Reid, Emiitt Williams, Days, and Smart. That team was stacked and could have gone further without all of the distractions come post season.

That team

Last year’s team talent wise was good but they were all about scoring and not enough defense

Easily 2018-19. They were a few points away from being undefeated in the SEC.

I honestly think his first year was his best team. Honestly they have gotten slightly worse each year in terms of SEC record.

I think this is his worst team since he’s been here. I’m hoping that changes next year.

Last years team just didn’t have the size inside to compete with some teams. You’re right about the defense but Wade experimented with zone for more than half the season and the D suffered greatly. When he went back to the man defense, (halftime vs Kentucky) we ended the season playing really well. That was his best offensive team but we just couldn’t matchup on the frontline, we were too small.

His first year was 18-15 with an NIT appearance in a weaker SEC than this year. This is not comparable

Damn, you know basketball. And yes you’re right. I think he was trying to copy the Auburn team that went to the elite 8 a few years ago without a true big. Thoughts?

Should have been last year but pretty clear it’s the S16 team

And we will make the tourney. Need to think about where he's taken the program from.

Touché. Forgot about that year. I was thinking the 18-19 season were we went 25-5 and won the SEC.

That was by far his best team.

It was a combination of things. We had our 7 foot 4* center transfer right around mid season, O’Neal got hurt twice so we had no frontline players. The year before our man to man suffered because Days and Watford were so bad on defense. We needed their offense and matching them up on bigs would’ve killed us. We tried playing zone and zone traps to offset that but our D got shredded so he switched back to man and we ended up playing our best ball down the stretch.

That team was fun to watch. We were so young, however.

2019-2020 team. We were going to be a 2-3 seed at great shot at sec tourney. I will say it would of been this year if Miller didn’t get injured. And with Mille healthy, the three 5 stars, with the returners I think next year we are a 2-3 seed in NCAA tourney.

You could make a case for this years team. What would our record be with even officiating?

Freshman Javonte grabbing and putting the team on his back at home against Tennessee when Tremont Waters was sick or hurt or suspended or whatever. CUM
