Looking to try a course in the Nola/surrounding Nola area. 504 or 985 area code is fine. Any recommendations for a nice course with reasonable prices? (50$ or less)

Oak knoll in Hammond is probably your best bet in 985 If you have to stay under $50. there are also two courses in Laplace same price range (riverlands and Belle Terre) both right by each other. But they got destroyed in the Hurricane last year and I don't know how they recovered.

Are you looking during the week or weekend?
A weekend round for under 50 in Nola leaves you pretty limited. Audubon is by far your best option for under 50 (sometimes hot deals are available) but it’s an executive course. The nice courses here are all over 50 on the weekends and stay crowded.

Bartholomew or City Park North for that price.

Cypress Lakes in Ormond. It may be $55 for weekend play but pretty sure its under $50 for weekday.

Does anyone know what's the status at Grand Ridge? I was about to book a round for Mardi Gras day when Golf Now sent me a note about "all holes playing as par 3's". I thought that the course was re-opened but now I'm not so sure.

Joe Bartholomew at that price point. You can ride 18 for under $50. It’s a great walking course though.
But get out there early on the weekends. Pace of play blows and the regulars don’t think twice about going out in groups of 5 or 6 on a Saturday.

Op, don’t go to Cypress Lakes right now! Out here today and the greens are in pretty rough shape. It’s a shame, the layout isn’t bad with lots of water but it will need time to get the greens good.

CAM2 is not expensive and hilly. It's near Hammond.
Grand Ridge is cheap. Not in the best shape, but it's fun and scenic.
Stonebridge is nice, plus you get to see jet fighters fly overhead.
