So make the one who’s more popular by a pretty wide margin to go ahead and state that he’s out? The one who energizes the base the most, again, it not even really being very close?

Folks on the right need to be on the lookout for operatives whose goal it is to drive wedges amongst the right and feed the “Trump vs Desantis” fake news fire. It’s only going to get more prevalent as we move forward. This to me appears to be one of those instances.

Trump received more votes than any republican candidate in the history of the united states of America....and you want him to not run bc it may turn out Dems???? Stop. Think. Then post.

Time to take that tool away form them, and we do that by Trump saying he's not running.

That's BS.

You are making up crap.

HAHAHHAHA!!

OK. Trump will win the primary. DeSantis is not going to run.

DeSantis will run after Trump's next 4 years.

I get that you don't want Trump, but you are going to get him.

We’ve heard this before, and if not for 3am covid vote dumps, he’d still be president today.

And we’d all be better off for it.

It's Rand Paul's to lose. Trump is an old man that needs to sit down.

What's to prevent this from happening again? If they did it once, they can do it again.

TX and GA tightened up voting requirements. PA finally ruled the way the Democrats conducted the election was done so unconstitutionally and won't be allowed again. Wisconsin is currently working through realizing how fraudulent the election. MI and AZ are still questionable.

It’s very unpopular here BUT you are 100% correct. I’m diehard Trump but he needs to sit this out for the good of the country. DeSantis or an establishment Republican is better than Biden, Kamala, Hillary, or whoever the left runs.

I just cannot believe Trump cannot figure out when to say something and when to just kind of see how things go before saying something.

I agree.

And am surprised you aren't getting more downvotes.

Aw man, it’s only a matter of seconds before the fashionable trend of the day is to latch onto something of Rand Paul’s, some vote or statement or position yadda yadda, leading to a feeding frenzy picking him apart. My suggestion is a very simple one: shoot for whoever has the best numbers amongst the right. That’s a damn task in and of itself, so just that’s a great start. I wouldn’t be trying to get all cute with it…..if Trump’s the most popular leading up to the primaries, why force a square peg into a round hole??

And why do you think your fairy tale voter fraud won’t happen again?

Trump is going to bomb in the primaries, I'm calling it. Looking forward to his WH record being brought up in the primary. He'll have to defend appointing Goldman Sachs people, Jim Powell, trade deficits, War in Yemen and his numerous comments about admiring dictators.

Well, they’re not going to have the benefit of the covid voting free for all, presumably. So that should be a rather significant factor.

You know Trump got 5 million more votes than Obama, the supposedly most popular man in history. Without fake mail in voting Trump would have crushed Biden. Yiudid notice how he was winning easily in the actual election night…you know with real votes.

That's because Leftists and RINOS have flooded the board for WAR.

Trump, unless he decides not to run, will win the Primary.

And in one year the only thing that has changed in MORE SUPPORT FOR TRUMP!

Theres many valid points in this board. I think Desantis can get the left leaning moderate vote. Or at least the ones with self awareness. Trump is still the stongest GOP entity. Trump also regardless of how impactful his ability to govern and policies are is a polarizing individual.

Disagree. Biden is a sitting duck. Trump has a passionate base and I think the middle is seeing that Trump wasn’t so bad

Yea run Trump again. He’ll get his arse kicked worse than last time.
Some of y’all live in a delusional bubble. We’re not even 18 months past the last election. Trump got beat by one of the weakest candidates in modern times. You think people have changed their minds about him? I promise you. They haven’t
