If China invades Taiwan there will be WW3, chips or no chips

We could move to open back up energy production here and we could manufacture critical tech here, and then China and Russia’s aggressive actions would have less affect. Can’t have it both ways though.
Taiwan and China gained this manufacturing dominance over decades. The US would, in a lot of ways, be starting from scratch. A lot of US companies who rely on china to manufacture goods don't even know how their product is made. How sad is that?
It should be done but I don't think you'd see any blip in the market for a very long time. Covid didn't bring US manufacturing home. Biden gave away US energy independence day 1. What would it take?

You probably know Evergreen staffs got 40-month year end bonus last year due to the hike of ocean freight cost. Who were ripped off?

And 90% of a semi conductor grade neon used for making chips comes from

That's not really sad.
It's a waste of resources to try and be a jack of all trades instead of an expert in a limited number of them.

US, UK, AUS, GER, FRA, etc.
We'd probably get support from a lot of African countries China has fricked over. Japan, SK, etc.
We could never dream of occupying China, but beating them? In a non-nuclear war there's no doubt.

The fact that, after COVID, we haven't gone into panic mode to bring strategic production to/back to the US is an absolute mind blower.

Laughable.
Many of those countries can hardly field a fighting force right now. China owns most of the world's industry and could shatter most nation's economies at will. On top of which, this is an old empire run by a cold-blooded dictator. They will not blink at things most modern western nations would never stomach.
The only way we could hurt China is economically, but the money pulling the strings would never allow it.

In complete fairness, Trump had four years to bring chip manufacturing to the US.

China has only been allowed to become this paper tiger by specifically not doing this.

And if that industry wasn't selling to the world, how long could China keep it going? Their economy is already a house of cards facing a major slide. You think shutting off the few productive centers could keep it afloat?

I think you underestimate what would happen to Xi if the monied class in China stood to lose it all. There is a reason why Xi has been trying to reign in that specific population the past couple of years.

Most of that country has lived in subsistence poverty for many times the years America has existed. I think you underestimate how little they are intimidated by sliding back in that direction or by the will of a handful of dwindling, in-fighting, weak western nations...most without any military might left.
Short of nukes, we have little leverage. I also wouldn't trust that coalition you mentioned. They get awfully weak in the knees when the media starts counting bodies. See the middle east, for example, where oil - another crucial economic component - was at risk.
If WW3 starts, we will lose...and it would just be us and MAYBE Britain.

If 92% if the world’s most sophisticated chips are manufactured in a political hot zone like Taiwan, he should’ve done something about that. As a diehard Trump guy, I’m kinda disappointed he didn’t have the foresight to fix that.

Not really true. Most of the technology, including manufacturing processes, has been designed/engineered here. China has been used because of their cheap labor and lax regulatory environment, not their technological know how.
Regarding chip capacity specifically, there’s a boom in capacity development here already. It started under Trump. You don’t build a fab in 9 months, so this capacity doesn’t come in line for another year or so - but it’s under construction and there’s even more in the planing stage.

America First patriots understand this and have for a decade or more. The Prog/Dim lunatics have bigger concerns than America’s sovereignty…..they have a SJW and climate change agenda that is still not completely realized…..forward!

Those pastoral populations wouldn't be affected directly by the war but would likely face mass starvation when the government ignores them to divert resources towards propping up the city economies/war effort.
Again, I'm not talking about occupying these lands.
