Little doubt that Patton got taken out because he was starting to act like we fought the wrong side of the war. He was calling Eisenhower out for genocidal activities against Germans. His final letters are wild.

I have heard conspiracy rumors about his death and how mysterious the events that occurred at the crash site and hospital afterwards. Do you recommend a book or show that provides more details? I find this period very interesting and would love to learn more about his death.

“Killing Patton” by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard.

Easy read, explores a lot of reasons that a lot of people might’ve wanted George Patton dead.

Eisenhower had Patton whacked. Patton would have won the presidential election if he decided to have ran and Eisenhower knew that.

They say those plans were against odds and probably would have failed. But the question is would they have? I firmly believe the Soviet Union would have been taken over by Germany had there been no support from the UK and USA and had the USA not stretched Germany's military on the western front. Those frickers were ill equipped in every aspect. Had the Germans not made several critical mistakes, liking timing of the attack and Hitlers obsession with Stalingrad instead of advance on Moscow, they possibly still could have done it. So without UK and US aid and substantial losses against the Germans, could they defended themselves against a USA/UK attack? I say no. At that point it's them versus everyone else.

The Soviets were already pushing the Germans back before D-day.

However, without the trucks, planes, tanks, radios, food, etc we sent them on Lend Lease it is not likely Stalin would have survived.

Well to each his own. You wanna lose them in 1945, a time it was common and undertsood or you wanna lose them now, when all these countries that were allowed to exist and expand, now pose an even larger threat than back then. Promise you the losses would be would much harder to stomach now than in 1945. You keep ignoring the elephant in the room until he's at your refrigerator eating your shite. It happened in 1941 and with the Chinese and Russians encroaching and being allowed to do whatever it's more than likely to happened again. One day it's Ukraine, next day it's Taiwan. Third day they are at your doorstep.
