Maybe suspend him for the remainder of the season. No need to fire him for what happened. IMO, the whole deal seems a bit overblown. He was wrong and caused the whole thing, but it didn't look like something to fire someone over.

He'll get suspended for 2 weeks, then BLM will march because the suspension was too harsh and then the University of Michigan will pay Howard an extra $100K for excessive suspension and make a one million dollar donation to BLM.
