Democrat Meme About right wingers Banning Books

I have two Democrat Facebook friends who are cat ladies in their late 60s. One lives in New Jersey and the other in BRLA - they don’t know each other.
In recent weeks I have ignored this ludicrous Facebook meme they’ve shared about Republicans burning books or banning them or something. I’ll try to find it and then figure out how to post a meme on PB.
Today, Tucker played some snippet of a Crooked Speech where she was talking about Republicans banning books.
In all seriousness - where the hell is this coming from?? What books are Republicans banning. I barely even consider myself a Republican anymore bc of how useless they are - but I’ll never be a Democrat because 1) they’re Marxists and 2) they want to delete and ban speech of all types they don’t like. Including books. Hell - they’ve banned some from Amazon. They’re taking huckleberry Finn out of libraries. They’re saying Joe Rogan should be not on Spotify. And that Trump shouldn’t have a Twitter.
I realize this stupid meme is idiotic leftist projection - but - maybe one of you leftists who is ignoring arresting nonviolent protesters and seizing bank accounts based on unpopular views can explain or provide an example for me. . .

I've seen similar memes but don't know the specifics. It seems to be in regards to critical race theory.
There has always been debate about what should be taught in schools. That's not the same as banning books.

Republicans aren't "banning" any books, they're getting inappropriate books removed from school libraries and reading lists. Kids, or their parents, are free to buy these books on their own. These books tend to overwhelmingly be LGBTBBQ books, often how-to's on things like gay sex. And no normal person blames parents for not wanting their school library to feature "how to rim your best friend's butthole".
A lot of teachers have been assigning this bullshite to their kids, as a big middle finger to parents.
What's ironic is that the real book burners of late have been leftists themselves, objecting to things like the N word in Mark Twain novels. Anything "problematic" in libraries must be committed to the flames and "decolonized".

Right, but they are not banning them. They are more than likely still available from book sellers, I'm sure. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc.

I think they are talking about books being banned by school boards because they break the law . County citizens defending freedom had 16 books removed hear in Polk county FL. They are a good grassroots organization that is growing fast. Here is a link to the article.
