I saw a commercial for that unfunny blond haired female (pardon the redundancy) that has a show on Comedy Central. She made reference to Republicans burning books and it caught me by surprise. I totally missed the punchline but the reference still left me wondering what this batshit crazy broad could have possibly thought to be clever about her reference.
It struck me as odd since Democrats have been the ones favoring censorship, deplatforming, demonetizing, and silencing the opposition. I’m still wondering what I’m overlooking.
But it has to be a lame reference to CRT. I still don’t understand how they equate it to book burning.

I guess there were some book burnings way back when by hardcore preachers. The kind who used to ban dancing in entire towns.

I had to Google Maus. I legit had never heard of it.
But now that you’ve educated me, Per CNN it was removed from an 8th grade library in Tennessee bc of profanity and nudity. I mean really, the nerve. You’d think people were advocating that 8th graders shouldn’t read To Kill a Mockingbird, or kindergartners shouldn’t read Dr. Seuss books or something. Or even worse - eighth graders can look at all the gratuitous nudity they want; but if someone says BOOBS on CNN!! That would be a true scandal. I mean, the audience is full of sexually mature adults!! They would know what boobs mean and maybe they would think about boobs - that immediately should give the guy that said boobs the old hook!!

there was a literal book burning 2 weeks ago in Tennessee, and it wasnt from the left, it was a pastor burning Harry Potter and Twilight and Dinsey stuff.
A school board in Tennessee also just banned Maus, a graphic novel about the Holocaust, because it had 8 curse words. in 1992 it won the Pulitzer Prize.

I am not sure... Ingalls had it on her show.. as an example.. There is one book that shows one boy giving oral sex to another boy and they agree to try something different next...
anyways. this book was acceptable in 8 grade libraries and Right wingers aren't cool with it while the left think's it fantastic.

While not related, I found this one Christmas... Nothing like teaching kids about protesting. Not about being a productive member of society, but rather how to get out and try to change it to fit YOUR needs.
