I eat steak about once a week but this is getting ridiculous. I normally get prime strip but the thickness of the cuts were for prisoners. They refused to cut any custom orders after 7pm.

Left with $35.99/lb ribeye that had a decent thickness.

Should've just gone to Pappas.

Paid 11.99/lb for Choice Strip today.

You have to shop around these days. I did see some nice porterhouse for 12.99/lb as well. Both the strip and filet looked good on both. All were thicc!

Agree that it is all Too Damn High.

I'd buy a ham steak or some fat pork chops. Not eating no over priced steaks.

I got two 16 Oz ribeyes at Publix yesterday for 25.99 for both. You seem bad at shopping.

I usually look where they have the discounted 50% off on good pieces.
Or if you sweet talk one of the ladies behind the counter sometimes you can get her to throw a 50% off sticker on a pack for you.

Flattery gets you everywhere.

Better switch to choice if that’s the price and quality they are giving you for Prime.

I made chili this weekend and just used ground pork. Much cheaper.

Lobel’s dry aged steaks laugh at that. On a side not freaking crab meat is completely out of control.

This was the only prime they had besides filets. Not sure why I’m getting flamed.

Most importantly, how did it taste? Looks pretty damned good to me.
