Have to agree with you here. Why kill the shark for doing what it Does, anyway? Swimmer knows the risk when he goes

1. The shark has now learned that the area has food that's relatively easy to hunt, so it'll either hang around indefinitely or come back often to hunt that spot. Sharks are very intelligent and can swim entire oceans to get to feeding spots they know.
2. That shark also now realizes that human-shaped things in the water are flesh, muscle, blood, and fat that it can eat for nourishment just like a seal. That meal is also pretty damn easy to catch, so it'll most likely look for more. Once they get a taste for human it's believed that you have to either kill them or capture them to live in captivity, or else they'll eat more.

Kind of how it works when you’re second/third from the top of that environmental food chain.

Regarded by locals as one of the best kept secrets in Sydney's east, the beach was packed with dozens of swimmers, paddle boaders and rock fishermen at the time.
Sounds like the secret's out....

Is this really true though?

If the Disney crowd goes swimming in white shark waters, I’m pretty sure the sharks would easily confuse them for large blubbery mammals. Ohhh wait…..

Yup. I never heard of anyone being attacked by a shark on the golf course.
Gators have attacked people on golf courses though

It's learned that humans are easy prey. You absolutely don't let it live.
