i dont knwo where i stand on this. on one hand, i support justice being brought to people who have committed crime. on the other, this seems like a massive slippery slope and i have no idea where it ends

ok, im just gonna come out and say it, yes this will reduce the number of rape accusations for fear of being exposed as a criminal.
that said, it sucks for those women but if you are a criminal then you are the one who put yourself in a position where you cannot file rape charges, its your own fault.
a woman who robs cheats and steals on the regular will not file rape charges if this stands, and thats sad, but at the same time, if your DNA is on file then itis what it is

If the women have to give some sort of consent for this, then there’s no issue. Otherwise, this is no different than conspiracy theories that the government uses dna from ancestry sites to solve crimes.

Of course they are. This is a hell of a lot different from criminals giving their dna and identifying other crimes like that. Pretty soon people will start getting arrested after doing a 23 and me.

This is sketchy as frick. People ask me why I won't do forensics, it is because of shite like this. Cops need a warrant to do this, any thing else in unconstitutional.
