I haven't heard a single soul say "Did you see that Simpsons episode last night?" for over 25 years, yet they remain on the air. I don't get it. Who is watching these shows?

1st of all, Dan Crenshaw is not "on the far other side of where he is". He's pretty much in the middle on most issues.

And 2nd, you "have a lot of respect" because he has 1 Republican on his show a year. Rand Paul last year, Crenshaw this year. Man, what a guy he is.

Its ok to give a nod to "them" bro...it wont kill ya.

I dig some of Bill Maher's takes as well....should I be drawn and quartered???

I also have alot of respect for the guy for calmly and openly discussing some topics with people in the other party

Jon Stewart was a liberal but at least had talent & could make people laugh.

Here's the deal...Jon Stewart and Craig Kilborn were both naturally funny/clever. Stewart was a step up from Kilborn, but I liked them both. Trevor tries too hard, and it rarely works.

Being a lefty it's supposed to be made for me and I can't watch more than 10 seconds of even the viral clips. I can't think of a time that I've even more than smirked at something. It's just not funny.

And... we are done.

I'm fairly centrist, which means I'm Lenin on this board, but Noah is just... he's just there. He doesn't say anything funny. He doesn't say anything offensive. He's just there.

He is like finding out (hopefully not by stepping on it) that my elderly cat threw up in the hallway. "Well, crap. Time to get the paper towels."

It is almost shocking how unfunny Trevor Noah is. What is funny is that the left can’t criticize him at all as he is person “of color” so they are completely stuck having to support him, go along with him, & fake laugh to him because they have to support him.

This sums it up. They hired him as a diversity move and they know he's a disaster but they can't do anything. It's not even an argument to say he's a bad comedian, he's not a comedian at all. He may as well say he's an astronaut

I think the cringey-est thing he does (often) is his "nerdy white guy" impersonation voice.

Unlike, say Chappelle who does a funny recognizable uptight white guy voice, Noah's South African english accent makes his white guy imitation strange & unplaceable. It's just not funny and makes me wince.

And how in world does he make $17 million with horrible ratings?

Hell,Greg Gutfeld draws 10X the viewers and makes $2 million.

Amber Ruffin makes Trevor Noah look more talented than Johnny Carson.

Terrible bump about a fricktard. I'm in a hotel and have limited channels. I was watching reruns of The Office, and his show started right after.

I had no idea he doesn't have an audience or even a laugh track. It makes him so much less funny than I thought he was in the commercials.

They have got to be losing money putting this dude on tv, right?

They're probably happy if all they do is break even at this point because it's abundantly they can't or won't fire him.

By doing a basement show with no audience and no production value and I assume (I never watch this piece of shite show) that all guests are over zoom now, which costs nothing, so the production expenses associated with the show are virtual nonexistent, therefore freeing up enough to vastly overpay your host and cross your fingers you make any profits at all.

Comedy Central basically has no programming anymore except Daily Show and South Park. Like most Viacom channels now, they are basically barely even a network anymore. If they didnt get those automatic cable subsidies, they'd be bankrupt. Becaue nobody watches anything on that network anymore outside of the occasional South Park rerun or new episode.

It is really incredible how terribly unfunny his commercials are. They aren’t informative or funny. It’s just like words put together into bad sentences.
