I just took it. It sounds like they are going to renovate the place in to a big luxury suite. I told them to build a new PMAC with no reduction in capacity. I don’t know if they want to hear that I want to sit in a seat and watch a basketball game. They are more interested in selling amenities.

I hope they do the basketball programs justice. I don’t know if y’all have ever checked out the Royal Key series on the Sports Digest YouTube channel, but we are further behind in facilities than I thought.

"Piss soaked bathrooms"
If the drunk fans had better aim this wouldn't be a problem.
Everybody wishes the players would practice to hit free throws, they should want every man to practice hitting the pot!

Yep. Which is also absurd. LSU is one of the only places in big time college basketball that when you're watching on TV and they're going on a run and the place is going nuts.... the main side view of the game shows all the old fricks sitting on their programs.
SO frickING WHAT?

Put 10,000 comfortable seats with decent legroom in there and forget all the elitist bullshite. It's college basketball
Agree with the arms race.
Started with luxury locker rooms and accommodations for athletes
Extreme coaching salaries
Now NIL paying the players
These expenses are what is attracting athletes to schools that are winning big.
Ticket sales to the average fan is not raising the money to fund all this, most is TV revenue and alumni donations.
I have no problem with luxury seating to reward and attract the funding of alumni that are donating huge sums of money

I DGAF about luxury seats I will never be able to afford to sit in. The biggest problems with the PMAC are:
1. The seats are too far away from the court. This makes the place feel like an empty graveyard unless it’s 90% full. Massively detracts from the atmosphere.
2. The concessions are a joke, just like at all other LSU events. They’re of near inedible quality and cost WAY too much.
I don’t think they can solve the first problem through renovations, and the second problem doesn’t require a renovation to accomplish.

If this is your great hope for LSU then

Wider seats and more leg room should be paramount. The fat and tall must be served.
It’s simply not a comfortable place to watch a game. The Box is much more fan friendly.
