I don't disagree that it was way overblown but I do think that O should have been more aware of how his actions would be perceived by the black kids he coached.
Again, I don't think he did anything actually wrong but going on Fox News during all that turmoil wasn't a great decision. He had A LOT to lose (which he did) and very little to gain.
Before people burn me at the stake, I am just saying that I don't think the Saban would make that decision knowing it could negatively affect him in recruiting and with his current team.

O was trying to sell his book when he was making those media rounds. That was the only thing in his mind at that point

The other sad fact is only one cable news channel wanted to talk about having a season while the others wanted to celebrate Michigan and the BigX cancelling.
As defending national champion he wanted to talk about playing football.
Others made it into something other than that.
