Smoke from wood can choke you but trees produce oxygen.

Old men whittling wooden toys in wooden rocking chairs for children, making them smile.

Or it can be the hangman’s gibbet making their father dance. (Or alternatively instruments made from wood.)

And whether you’re kilt (killed) or built, it’s over your head, as in a casket, scaffold or roof.
