Getting 437 horsepower out of the same motor from the tacoma that's getting 280 ish.

So, basically, bolting on two turbos and calling it a day.

Remember those million mile Tundras? Good. Because that era is DONE.

This is where overreaching government regulation meets our voracious appetite for ever larger vehicles.

Ugh, what a hideous and totally unnecessary behemoth. We should have kept the women in their Plymouth Voyagers.

I think it's an excellent single passenger vehicle.

They can't make the V8 engines meet emissions standards anymore.

then either change the standards, or hire that genius from Volkswagen

Funny thing is the turbo V6 3.5l Ecobust in my wife's Expedition gets about 17 mpg. The 'Yota will not be any more efficient.

All these modern vehicles look like shite. Go back to a lot of the 80s and 90s designs with more rounded edges and stop all this foolishness.

Not for you.

But it will for the EPA, which is all that matters.

You might be thinking of the Land Cruiser.

I'm surprised they went back to a solid rear axle for the Sequoia. The hybrid only powertrain might turn some people off.

Still have a 2004. Best vehicle I ever owned. Also have a 2017 Tundra that has been great. I'm not a fan of the newer body styles on the Sequoia

Price tag will be the same, but one will depreciate little and run like a top for 200k.

My B-I-L had a Sequoia, it was constantly in the shop and the interior basically fell apart on it. My wife was still driving her '06 Tahoe and my BIL was on his 3rd used Sequoia.

But yeah, keep living that Toyota fan boy myth.

If you’re going to do a six cylinder motor, then at least make it a straight six.

Why can’t we buy land cruisers anymore

Cmon man, Please do some research…this basically IS the new LC. And the Lexus LX is a fancier version. That’s why Toyota doesn’t sell it here anymore.
This is fantastic though & it has the upgraded Tundra engine. I’m excited about the different trim packages…you’ll be able to get a base SR5 or nicer limited with an off-road package. New American Landcruiser, room for 8, better MPG…sign me up.

Man, there’s always exceptions but most Toyota Trucks & SUVs are VASTLY superior in reliability & resale compared to any GM product.

What made the LC the LC was legendary built quality. The tolerances for the LC/LX are tops in the industry. The 300 series and new LX are built in Japan. The new Sequoia may be the “same”, but time will tell if Toyota USA can delivery on the quality.
