The problem with this dumbass opinion is ZERO elite/great coaches want to coach here. Basketball is the DISTANT third most popular sport here and our facilities are among the worst in the SEC, not to mention Louisiana doesn't produce elite HS prospects like it does in football. Woody wouldn't be able to hire an established coach, he would at best get a mid major coach that likely wouldn't even be as good as Wade.

Revisit the Mulkey hire, dummy.

She came here because she's from Louisiana and close to retiring. Please name just one great basketball coach at an established program that would come here.

If woody wanted Wade gone he could have canned him when he came in like Alleva was about to.

This is my thinking also. Woodward doesn't like him or something. He didn't hire him so he is not going to get for him. Unfortunately I think Wade is going to be leaving sooner rather then later if it does not change.

Woodward would replace him with an equal or better coach. Wade doesn’t have leverage, given his history.

Leverage yes. Better coach probably not. What wade has done with less in such a short time is deserving of the longest leash LSU head coaches have ever had. He isn't getting the leash or the support and assurance that LSU got his back. And that's a shame. The LSU ad pulling him for the tournament and then suspending smart for the sec tournament was complete BS. Maybe we beat mich with our damn head coach.

I wouldn't be surprised if things getting bad bc Woodward doesn't like him and pretty much let everyone who matters know that he doesn't care and things would be easier if Wade started losing. But that's totally unsubstantiated other then his silence

LSU can draw good players. The past coaching hires have just sucked. Wade is good but there are coaches that can recruit & put together stronger rosters
