Geez what kind of person thinks that someone who screws over his own kids is an alpha?

Because all of his kids with Elaine are pieces of shite?

His older kids are 62, 67, and around 70 years old now. They all received good educations, even though there is no way Stephen got law school, passed the bar using just his own intellect. Plus they received all the benefits, and privileges of being the governor’s kids, the 8 years old will miss out on that. Edwards was also not as wealthy has people believe, he was a excellent crook, but a poor businessman and investor. He keep piles of cash stacked in safes, and used political favors, and deals to get things he wanted., he never saw a need for building net worth.

Huey definitely started it and Edwin put the nail in the coffin. Two shite bags.

That shite was going on way before Huey Long. The Nola Old Regulars and upstate planters had the state split up between them. Huey broke their stranglehold. He was corrupt, but some crumbs fell down to the common man for the first time ever.

Jeez. That's not very nice. Do you know them?

I grew up around them, went to school with two of them, David was always decent, the other two maybe a little less.

According to her, under Louisiana's forced heirship laws she is entitled to a fourth of her father's estate.

Unless the “mental illness” part is a factor, forced heirship only comes into play if the kid(s) is/are under the age of 24.
Perhaps one of the legal eagles on here can confirm.

From what I understand David, Stephen and Anna don't plan on contesting it. They are all more than comfortable financially.

It’s tough to make legitimate investments when you are doing it with crooked money.

This. Wills often don’t mean much for many wealthy people as most of their assets are already in a trust or otherwise transferred out of their personal estate. Given that, the article wording is terrible or maybe he didn’t have as much as people like to assume as others have said.

And the guardian, the whore, gets to control all of the minor's assets until he's 18.
So he basically left her everything
As always, totally a dick.

Stephen Edwards has all of the charisma and charm of a rabid hyena.

I find it difficult to find much sympathy for his personal financial situation.
