Best on screen eater. That’s all.

Is this really a thing? Does he actually eat more on average than most actors on screen?

I feel like the Ocean’s Trilogy really bumped his numbers, and most of that was meta-self-referential humor poking fun at him eating nachos and the shrimp cocktail in the first one.

Ok so I dug deeper. There's a 15 minute compilation of him eating in movies from "Burger Fiction" on YouTube. So yeah, it's definitely a thing.

I thought I heard years ago that he has a clause in his contracts that requires at least one scene in all his movies to be of him eating because he likes the way his jaw looks. That may be complete bs though

I think what sets Pitt’s eating motif apart from other on screen eating is that it is (almost) always some sort of snack food.

I just read in one article he did it for Rusty in Ocean’s because, as a con man, Rusty must always be on the move.

But I think he plays with that idea for *all* of his characters. Like Cliff Booth, eating Kraft Dinner because he is a drifter. Cant afford fine china when you are living paycheck to paycheck.

Bro, look for the Burger Fiction compilation on YouTube. One of his eating scenes was snacking on the rat in Interview with the Vampire.

I know. I watched it. And it seems he frequently plays drifters.

That or intensely focused people who are liable to stress eat like Billy Beane in Moneyball.

Definitely can see the snack foods. In Moneyball I remember him eating a Twinkie and some popcorn.

Sounds about right. I always figured it was because he thinks he looks cool doing it. They should have given him a banana for the "what's in the boooxxxxx" scene

One of the things he does that bothers me is in Fury and Bastards he has this underbite thing going on. It's obviously affected because he doesn't do it in other movies. I don't know if he does it because he thinks it makes him look authoritative or he's trying to look like a meathead.

I think he does these random mannerisms and ticks because he's trying not to be wooden. Despite how he looks and his A list status I don't think he has any natural charisma, so he tries to produce it by doing things on screen he thinks are interesting. Something he does is in every single movie is he sits down, leans back, crosses his legs, and tries to look like the coolest guy in the room like a teenager at a middle school dance party. Once you notice it you see it in every movie
