Murder is rampant because criminals control the streets so J. Bel has a cutsey photo-op to discuss litter!

I saw a tv ad with BroomHilda...a PSA about stoplights with flashing yellow/green arrows(4 lights in one stoplight). Haven't seen one of those yet but I'm sure they cost about as much or more as that tv spot.

Waste of time and money as EBR crime runs rampant.

Murder is rampant in a couple cities, not throughout the state.

Those are the new Christmas Tree lights for the drag racers to use around town. And we thought Broome didn't care about street racing in BR.

Local government in EBR won’t clean the city and won’t pick up trash. The trash accumulated over the years and now Jon Bel is coming to the rescue to clean up the mess? Maybe he will try snd pass a stste litter tax so he can add to the huge surplus he’s building.

Well he can't call out the mayors and DAs that are causing this shite because they're on his team and it would really affect his chances at landing a cush job in DC in 2024.

Look, I'm no fan of Governor Edwards.

That said, elected officials are supposed to be leaders, and leaders are supposed to have the capacity to walk and chew gum at the same time.

So it IS entirely possible to bring awareness to and try to address rampant violent crime in BR, NOLA and Shreveport while also bringing awareness to and trying to address the fact that too many people in Louisiana use the beautiful state as their own personal dumpster.

People become cynics because all we see is talk with no results.

How many times had our mayor, governor, and even our president stepped up to address a problem and then actually push through a plan to combat the issue and the situation improves?

Just bringing if awareness to an issue means very little if you don’t have a plan to fix the otobkem and you don’t carry out that plan.

I honestly don't know what government "plan" could fix this. The decision to not use a trash can is a personal decision. The decision to throw crap out your car window, or not clean your truck bed, is a personal decision.

Pubic awareness may be the best the government can do here. It's not like people are littering in front of a cop.
