re: What is something you gave up on at 13yrs old that you wish you kept at it?

Took guitar lessons after school when i was a little younger than 13, probably 10 or 11.. got bored becuase i wanted to play electric guitar and they made me start with an acoustic.. also, they didnt teach us how to play songs, just a lot of theory and warm up exercises.. just like now, i didnt have much patience then, so i quit after a month or 6 weeks.. Went about 30 years before touching a guitar again, then a couple years ago, i taught myself how to play using YouTube videos and Google tutorials.. it wasnt easy, but it wasnt exactly difficult either.. my playing is very rudimentary, i only know three chords, but with three chords you can play thousands of rock and roll songs.

Ironically, this time i taught myself using an acoustic guitar, and i have zero interest in learning to play an electric..
