Frank Wilson A+
Great hire for LSU, good coach and even better recruiter. Not only that but he was able to develop those recruits.

Jamar Cain A+
Elite recruiter as well. Kelly pretty much stole him from USC. Had OU in the top tier for sacks, pressures, etc. Very well respected as well.

Matt House: A
Another great coach. More on the Dave Aranda side. Not the best recruiter but will be coaching around recruiters. He will develop these players.

Brian Polian A-
Top tier guy and a coach. Awesome recruiter as well. He and Frank Wilson are the ones recruiting the portal hard as well.

Mike Denbrock B+
Very experienced coach which is key. Turned Cincy into a explosive offense. Solid get for this team.

Joe Sloan B+
Kelly was able to steal him for a lower role. The guy is young and has already been a OC. Strong Louisiana recruiting from him as well.

Cortez Hankton B+:
Awesome recruiter with NOLA ties. He was on staff and a good developer for some UGA WRs in the NFL. He developed these younger WRs this year nicely as well.

Robert Steeples B:
Tough to say here. Very little experience but has worked himself up the chain fast. Could potentially be a diamond in the rough with this one. Good things from him

Kerry Cooks B-:
Again a another one tough to grade. He was a part of of a couple weak secondaries at OU and TTU though. Solid recruiter, with some much needed ties for LSU football in the Texas/OU area.

No “bad” hires IMO here. Great coaching staff.

Yeah its a great staff. I'm excited and if we can pull some really good players to close out this year we have a chance to be good right away next year.

I like the staff a lot. Looking at the list knowing Brian Kelly is the head man is a refreshing feeling.

Change House to a B+ and Cooks to a C+.

Love everyone else but the secondary staff is going to have to prove it to me personally.

You can’t give a CB coach who has never coached CBs anything higher than a C-

Cooks isn’t very good at his job either. He’s a C- as well

I'd give steeples an incomplete and cooks a c. I do believe steeples is a going to be a very good db coach and I believe cooks is there to help him out with the growing pains

I would give Cooks a C until he proves otherwise. He has the most to prove out of any of these hires.

Steeples should probably be a B- until we see what we have with him, but I think we all see the potential. Maybe House is an A-, but the rest looks pretty spot on.

Hankton slightly low.
2 DB coaches slightly high based on lack of experience.

I think B- overall is more realistic ...Steeples is the sleeper and could make this A overall but Hankton and Cooks under performed with the talent they have had in my opinion...
