Best All-Around Walking/Hunting Boot

In the market for a good pair of general walking/hunting boots. Waterproof would be a plus. Will mainly be used while hunting and when walking the many ridges on the property. Lots of high brush so a tall boot might be ideal. What’s your go to’s?

If you have a lot of brush a neoprene boot will get shredded. Gonna be tough to beat these old-timers for what you want:

I've been trying to kill some Wolverine hiking/hunting lace up's, but I really want to try the Crispi Hunter GTX.

Son and I have Crispi’s for out West. Great boot. No break in required.

I bought some Danner Pronghorns back in October. I've put a lot of miles on them and like them a lot.

Regular knee high Lacrosse boots.

What’s your budget?
I’d look at Crispi and Kennetrek. Those boots with some Filson Tin cloth pants or chaps would be your best bet.

Where at?
Regular ol leather generally works great for southeastern dry ground hunting.

I’ll never not have a pair of Muck Muckster II ankle height boots again. Snug and comfortable and easy on and off.

I’m considering a pair of White’s, most likely the Tracker. I’m dead tired of shitty footwear.

The Pronghorns are the Best lace up boot I’ve ever owned. Muck Woody Max may be the most comfortable thing I’ve ever put on my feet.

I bought a pair of lowas last spring. First legit hiking boot I’ve bought, had been using some magellans. Gore Tex so can go through water and after hunting, walking all day, my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day any longer. I’m not going to go cheap on boots anymore.
I either wear those or hip boots, depending on where im at.

On flat ground they’re fine but sounds like they have some topography where he’s at. I tried my ramblers and lacrosse knee boots hunting in hills and like to break an ankle.

Schnees beartooth are the shite for heavy duty hiking, but it really doesn't pay off to buy something that expensive if you aren't doing serious mileage

I've been using:
Timberland Men's Chocorua Trail Mid Waterproof Boot
$125 at Amazon. Gore-tex so waterproof (Until badly abused). Good value for the price, I'm on my third pair over 6 years and I wear them a lot, maybe 40% of the time. A friend who is a birding guide and lives outdoors wears the same.
Tall boots - I bought a pair, thinking that snakes might be a problem on my property. Expensive as hell and I've never worn them due to the inconvenience and actual low risk.

Anyone wore the Danner Pronghorn Snake Boot? I like the feel of a tall boot and in spring time I have a feeling the snakes are going to be out on this property. Just wondering how they are on elevated terrain
