Does anyone here really do the 20,000 mile oil change here? Pros? Cons?

Mobil 1 or Supertech 20,000 mile full synthetic oil paired with the 20k oil filter. Has anyone here used these products for the full 20k miles then performed an oil and filter change?

I had an old Camry that I'd change about every 15k. I sold it still running with 250k~ miles on it.

No, I go 10,000 though. That's what the manual says, so that's what I do.

I go 7500 with mobile 1. Could probably go more, but that's all I'm comfortable going.

I use Mobil 1 20,000 mile synthetic oil and filter and replace at 8,000. Through 2 oil changes, the oil is still reddish/ dark amber in color and doesn't look or smell burnt. I put a lot of highway miles on my vehicle so I don't wan to change oil every month.

Yes...AMSOIL......25K or 1 yr.....been doing if for 16 or so years.......and I don't just do it bc it's 1 yr in-between changes....I mainly do it bc IMO AMSOIL is just a better product.....saves a few bucks and saves time.

I go 10k Royal Purple in my Tacoma. The other ones I change when the oil life gets below 10%.

I do my Lexus every 7k and my Merc every 10k. Just like I’m supposed to. And I have zero problems with both.

There’s a reason cars come with manuals and maintenance schedules.

Follow them for YOUR specific vehicle.

I do it when the 2fiddy tells me to do it. It seems to be between anywhere between 9,000 and 12,000. I think I remember reading that it calculates load, idle time, etc in when to tell you. If I had a gas truck, I could see doing longer especially if I didn’t tow much.

I think the wife’s Toyota is just stupid and flips the light on at a set mileage or time from the last oil change. We have close to the same mileage and I swear hers had been changed more than mine.

Disregard the manual and the vehicles indicator.

Do it every 4-5k even with synthetics.

Hurts nothing to do that.

I've gotten in the habit of using synthetic and changing the oil every 10K in my vehicles. A bonus tip: I change it when the odometer changes it's 10,000 mark. That way I don't have to keep up with when each vehicle needs it.

I've done oil analysis on big diesels and pushed good synthetic oil products out to 3000hrs. I wouldn't do it without sample analysis and I don't do it on my personal vehicles. But modern oil is some pretty good shite.
