I mean Saban is the GOAT for a reason. It sucks for everyone else unfortunately. LSU has been fortunate though to be one of the few programs to win a few national titles over the last 20 years

2013 missed out because of that ridiculous kick six
2014 was a close loss against osu in the semifinal
2019 alabama was LSUs toughest opponent of the year and was clearly the second best team in the country. Had tua not been injured they beat auburn and head back to the playoff as the #4 team with a chance of making it again.
