There’s nothing elite about Ridder.

There's nothing elite about Denbrock either.

Better athletes all round. I think we know he can call a game, so IMO bring him on. Kelly will be more involved with the offense than what we have been used to.

I think Denbrock will have some packages for Nuss next year, even if Brennan takes the majority of the snaps.

Think it will be denbrock or coach chip kelly to come work under Coach Brian Kelly ??

People keep speaking this narrative of Cincy just doesn’t have the same caliber players but I doubt LSU would beat them right now. Denbrock wouldn’t be a good hire.

I've liked Cincy's offense when I watched them this year. They definitely shite the bed today and looked really bad, though.

Didn't see the announcement of Denbrock to LSU.

So because he had one bad game against the dynasty that is Alabama, everyone should just write him off as a bad hire now huh?
My goodness the knee jerkers on this board lol

Different ball game if Ridder connects on some of the routes.
Biggest thing for me was halftime adjustments were made. I like the hire.

Only idiots don’t like the hire

Both Brennan and Walker Howard will be much better than any QB Denbrock or Kelly has ever coached. If I'm wrong, tell me who Kelly has ever had at QB who was worth a damn. Its amazing he has been able to win as much as he has with the lack of talent at QB. Ridders recruiting ranking in his class was like 1,547.

Report: Former Notre Dame QBs Winless Since 2012 After Ian Book's Debut
"Facing the white-hot Dolphins with a depleted lineup, the odds were already stacked against Saints rookie quarterback Ian Book when he took the field for his NFL debut on Monday night. Perhaps unbeknownst to him, there was another factor at play working against him: the recent history of former Notre Dame quarterbacks losing in the NFL.
With the Saints’s 20–3 loss, former Fighting Irish quarterbacks have now lost in 24 consecutive NFL starts, according to ESPN Stats & Info. The streak dates back to 2012, and stands as the longest such drought since 1950.
It started with Brady Quinn, who lost the last four starts of his career with the Chiefs in 2012. The baton was then passed to Jimmy Clausen, who lost the last four starts of his career from 2014–15. Then it was DeShone Kizer’s turn, who lost 15 starts for the Browns in 2017 as Cleveland went winless for the season."

That was one of the big negatives about Kelly. How has he been so bad at evaluating/developing QBs?
There are some Miles vibes coming in around his offense and that was always the primary concern about Kelly (not "culture" or recruiting or anything like that).

They could have suited up Tom Brady and he would've probably struggled.

This right here. Was GLARINGLY obvious but somehow people think that can be overcome.
If you can nit execute the play, it will not be executed properly. Even Fickell said they were totally outmatched in the trenches.
Where has an emphasis in our recruiting been centered this year?
