Fixed dat.
The way Trump expanded the debt, and brow beat the Fed to lower interest rates during an economic boom, shows that he in no way intended to reduce the influence of the FedGov.

How can you bitch about the MSM not covering something if you're not monitoring the MSM?
That is the beauty of this site. There is no doubt that this site is largely viewed by people right of center (some waaay right).
However, there are also some reasonable people on here. I have been going back and forth with SFP in this thread. While I may disagree with aspects of what he posts, he seems logical to me for the most part. As such, the discussion is enjoyable, and at least imho...a good thing.
Hell, there are quite a few leftists that frequent this site too (some waaaay left).
You put all of that together and there are quite a few view points (coupled with links to sources) that get filtered through here.
In short, I don’t feel the need to “watch” the MSM when this board provides me with numerous takes from various sources.
Oh, and frick your blind links!

You brought up stress on hospitals, he brings up what the Turnip was driving with the mandate, you say it has no merit?
This is an attempt to create a segue to discuss talking points.
Stress on hospitals is due to acute spread of CV19. Now will certain policies (which are just now really taking effect and haven't even in some areas) create more stress with the current wave? Likely. That's irrelevant to the point b/c the baseline stress is already present due to the wave created by the spread (potentially, at least. Hopefully Omicron is much weaker as advertised to avoid this).
I'll use a sports analogy. The OKC Thunder are a terrible basketball team. They are even worse when they don't play SGA.

No offense/not directed to you SFP...
But this is a huge problem. Because the vax kills people. Lots now. 1/5000ish (or worse, that's just Taiwan & Israel)

While I disagree with the one size fits all policy they went with, the fact that a one size fits all policy is needed is because most humans are morons who can’t follow complex or nuanced instructions well. Our society has frequently used help lines specifically dedicated to shite like correctly using electric can openers. 70% of insulin users don’t take their medication as directed and nearly half can’t tell you their dose off the top of their head. You think that society will handle complex and varied medical instructions regarding a pandemic well?
So incredibly condescending
How do most people survive the day with government instruction Roger?

"Despite Omicron's extensive mutations and reduced susceptibility to neutralizing antibodies, the majority of T cell response, induced by vaccination or natural infection, cross-recognizes the variant," the researchers reported on Tuesday on medRxiv ahead of peer review.

I'm not disagreeing. I fully expect some sort of guidance from the LSBA about lawyers and vaxx stuff this year.
They're going to put stress on any occupation that requires licensure if this keeps going. Doctors and psychologists are already feeling it.

You seem to be arguing that having (or not having) SGA is irrelevant because they will never win a game anyway.
Continuing with your analogy, I would argue that having SGA at least gives them a chance to win (each surge is a game in my analogy). As such, having SGA may be important if your goal is to win, and still have enough left in the tank to play the next game.
Now if you’re talking about the eradication of Covid (playoffs) with our current response, my take is:

That's weak sauce.

waaaay left
I have NEVER seen anyone on this board proposing that the State take over the means of production. There are no far left viewpoints here. Counting on the political views of this board to span the entire spectrum of political thought is a fool's errand at best, and lazy self-delusion at worst.

Meh, you don't even have to click on them to know that they are there. That alone disproves the point that "Muh, no one's talking about it!1!"
Also note, none of those posts with links were directed at you. They were directed to the lower order politards in the thread. I wouldn't expect them to actually click on something that doesn't confirm their bias. But the fact remains that those links disprove the claim that no one's talking about it.

You can't look at it in terms of individual games. This is a macro issue (like making the playoffs). The playoffs aren't eliminating CV19 (like you said). They're preventing resource strain. SGA or none, it ain't happening for OKC.

Which would be less severe if they weren’t running off qualified workers - no?
My point is, some of the strain is related to the mandate etc..
You seem to be saying that you don’t agree with the mandate (or other restrictions), but that those aspects don’t matter.
I argue that they do matter.
We will agree to disagree.
Cheers bud.

It's not that they don't matter, but the strain is going to exist with our without them. It can just be worse in areas with shortages due to mandates.
