What is your favorite? Not just from the picture above but from all home consoles. I really enjoy the current series x and ps5 controllers. Its hard to beat wireless and comfortable.
I'm still a little old school when it comes to games like street fighter and mortal kombat as SNES trained me to use the Dpad. The SNES controller is my 2nd favorite, it was such an upgrade from the NES imo.
Least favorite was the Atari Jaguar controller.

My Honorable mention for a stick controller has to be the NEO-GEO AES controller. Love playing samurai shodown and metal slug with this over their hand held controller that came with the CD system.

What are some of your favorites?

Nostalgia GOAT: xbox with white/black buttons. It was cool to turn Chief's helmet light on with that
Usefulness GOAT: Xbox elite. Just got one and damn that thing is incredible. It's spoiled all other controllers. It also costs a bunch of money though

I had this one for my 64
but my favorite is my Xbox one controller
ETA: the 64 original controllers were best for Goldeneye if you used the 2.2 Galore layout. A controller in each hand, two toggle sticks

ETA that only a masochist would go with the Atari 2600 controller. You could always tell who had an atari by the blisters in certain spots on their hands.

Xbox 360. Perfectly tactile bumpers unlike the One/Series controllers which feel cheap even on the elite variant

PS5 controller is really nice. GameCube controller feels really good in the hands but is not great for most third party titles.
The Saturn controller (both versions) is the best all digital pad.

Xbox Series 2 Elite
Nintendo hasn't made a comfy controller since SNES (Pro Controller is an exception)

I have that controller too and thought about it right after I posted. It's nearly a 1:1 of the Xbox One controller.

GameCube and the Wii remote/nunchuck were pretty comfy.

Even though I love the classics I have to admit the new ones are so much more ergonomic.
I thought 360 and PS4 were pretty perfect; XBone was a step back. I’m starting to warm up to the Dualsense though.
