UCLA this year.

That & Wisconsin in Lambeau were pretty depressing especially after making the trip, but as a fan you at least had the consolation of "at least we got to see a game at Lambeau/Rose Bowl".

For me though, nothing will ever be more depressing than losing to Bama 8 games in a row.

Bama 2012- I really wanted this as revenge for NCG 2012. I was beaten down emotionally after that game like no other.

Auburn 2006- Ref gate was devastating

Arkansas 2007- I thought we lost our chance for a very special season. It was a gut punch.

Of course Refgate vs. Auburn in 2006, and the others you cite.

For the older fans, LSU vs. Tennessee, 1959, in which the refs botched the call on a Tiger touchdown.

And Texas A and M at LSU in 1971, when the defense choked on a long desperation pass with under a minute to play, snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

The 1988 Miami rain game in Tiger Stadium. When I say rain I mean deluge. It was so bad we left at halftime. Final score was 44-3

Arkansas 15 (maddest I’ve ever been at an LSU game)

Oklahoma State losing to Iowa State in 2011. Worse than any of our actual losses. Losing out on a GOAT-caliber season because a 28-point favorite lost in a game we didn't even play in. I still maintain that Quinn Sharp's final FG was good.

1994 Auburn interception game
1981 Tulane 48 LSU 7
1987 Elite 8 77-76 loss to Indiana (as an LSU fan not just a football fan this is maybe the toughest - we outplayed them and should have won to go to FF which was in New Orleans that year).

Besides that shite show if a national championship, how do you people remember so many old games? There's no way I remember a game from 12 years ago.

Will get dwn voted to oblivion, but the first half of UCLA last year hurt. I really liked Ed and wanted him to succeed and get it turned around. I knew at half time he was done. No changes had been made and we were yet again sold a bill goods. Really disappointed

The bama national title game from 2011 season will always be #1 but for some reason the arky game from 2002 bothered the shite out of me for a long time. Long lanky crackhead arse Matt Jones drove the length of the field with only 34 seconds left and threw the game winning touchdown on us with 9 seconds left to take the lead. Iowa bowl game when nick left and we gave up game winner on last play also up there.

Knight shoulda been Tech'ed but that wasn't going to happen in 1987.

1/9/12 - I was at that game. Horrible night. :(

This. And what utter bullshite... still pisses me off.

We beat Bama in their house. They didn't win their division, much less the conference.

Yet, they get selected over a conference champ whose only loss was the evening of a school tragedy. Makes me wonder if Bama crashed the friggin' plane (of course I'm joking... gotta say that for the pussies who are waiting to pounce).

Saban of all people talks about the mental motivation in game prep. Who was going to be more motivated? Bama fighting for redemption? Or LSU thinking, "We already beat these guys."

It was stacked in the Bama's favor as it usually is. Then add in Les Miles f-ing Lee and the team exploding in the locker room... that's the night that LSU started a long downward spiral.

LSU vs Bama 2012 & 2014 were both such magical nights to lose the way we did. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Auburn 2006 is up there also. That one stung bad. That's a National Championship caliber team and maybe Les' best in his tenure.

2. Wiscy loss at Lambeau (Preseason #3 and had 19 returning starters)
3. 2012/2014 Alabama in Tiger Stadium= Gut wrenching
4. Miracle on Markham 2002 in Little Rock
5. Ole Miss Clock failure by Lester, brutal...

That loss to Miami was frustrating and it was really tough on you and the other fans who had to tolerate that.

Just remembered the basketball team blowing a 31 point lead at home to Kentucky of all teams. Can’t recall the exact year, but that’s the most frustrating basketball loss.

Yes was at the refgate totally suckage; however, the 23-26 loss to Arch in 69 was particularly depressing on a 13 YO
BTW, the botch vs UT was the 2 point conversion try that B Cannon swore on his grave he crossed the goal! Also, that AtM game was 1970 I believe with the defender totally slipped on the grass and left the receiver to dash freely down the sideline as time expired! I believe we went on a tear after that like until the bowl game?
OK was 70 and that was the 0-3 L @ ND year then the NY Orange Bowl L to Nat Champ Nebraska which were both pretty somber L's but great games nontheless!
