I don’t think he’d do very well at LSU. Facing Tom Brady twice a year is easier than facing SEC competition. That’s why he shut him down. Cam Jordan is basically the DC. Allen calls the plays, but Jordan has the authority to change them before the snap. Just my opinion.
You happy? Idiot take for the worst thread in CCB history.

dennis allen will get a shot at an NFL head coaching job after this season if he wants it.
and you think he'd come to college to coach LSU's defense?

I remember the Saints DL coach being considered last year, but the Saints vetoed that move. He'd have been a great hire. In hindsight, Sean Payton did him a huge favor.
CSP knew what he was doing.
Allen is going to get a HC job sooner rather than later, and he will likely promote Nielsen to DC.

My bigger question is why hasn’t Carmichael gotten a head gig yet? Would he consider getting out from under Payton to show what he could do? If so, would he consider a major college job?

Dennis Allen will be a HC in NFL once again sooner than later. What he has done with the Saints Defense is masterful with the assembly of player they have. He has matured under Sean Payton and has a lot of eyes on him now. If he does hang around he may even be heir apparent to Sean Payton when he decides to retire.
