Per the motion picture classic Major League, which of course is the authority on these matters, that’s called “two in a row”. Three games is a winning streak:

Lou Brown : OK, we won a game yesterday. If we win today, it's called "two in a row". And if we win again tomorrow, it's called a "winning streak"... It has happened before

The NBA and NBPA talks on finalizing a form of this plan have been ongoing through the weekend and league remains determined to minimize postponements and avoid a pause, sources tell ESPN.

This is a totally unbiased opinion, but I think this should be a forfeit.

It's amazing to me that so for our roster has been unaffected by the covid protocols.
It was like this last year too.
Say what you want about the skill quality of players, and I have plenty, but our guys seem to have their heads on straight with making sure they do what they need to be available to play and by all accounts have played by every rule the league has put in place to avoid an outbreak when needed.

Is it that? Or do we have a bunch of introverts that like to go their room and play video games in their free time?

Close, but no cigar. The second line is "If we win one today, that's two-in-a-row."

Anyone else find it curious that the NBA and NFL having vivid problems at the same time in leagues that have 95%+ vaccinated rates?
Posted on 12/19/21 at 9:09 pm to ShoeBang
Several weeks ago the NBA said they had seen enough vaccinated people getting it that they felt booster shots were necessary.

frick, I’m writing a strongly worded letter to the website I copied it from.

Fair enough. I’d say more of the thing that isn’t working probably isn’t the answer but I’m not in charge of a sports league or a doctor. I defer to them and the decisions they make as a fan

that seems obvious…maybe try some horse dewormer or bleach?
Vaccines work, period. When hospitals filled up during the last wave, the overwhelming majority of people that filled the ER were unvaccinated. The overwhelming majority that died were unvaccinated. The reason the NBA turns up positive despite high vaccination rates is simple: everyone is getting tested.
As a vaccinated person I may have caught Covid in the last 6 months and simply not known it because I was asymptomatic, but I have no mechanism in my life forcing me to be tested multiple times a week. And I’m not a million dollar athlete in a sport with huge liability implications if people were just allowed to run around as super spreaders when almost every team in the league is critically dependent on public financing to subsidize their business models or risk getting shut them down out of concern for public safety

Stop testing!! And it all goes away. Everyone gets the sniffles at some point.

Jesus some of you are legitimately functioning retards.
Tell that to the nurses when their entire units were over capacity and they are having to make life and death decisions about who gets limited bed space or vents. When ambulances have stroke victims in the back but no beds to send them to because you dumb frick anti-vaxxers took up all the ER beds.

Well that escalated quickly.
Posted on 12/20/21 at 10:47 am to Bronc
I'm vaxxed and boosted, and it's simply scientific fact that the vaccines are safe and very effective at keeping people out of the hospital and morgue, and people who been boosted (or who have hybrid immunity from infection and vaccination) have some protection from infection from Omicron. I mean, there have now been over 7 billion vaccine doses given globally, and even the Chinese ones have proven safe (some of them not very effective, though).
But, Bronc, you are going to convince anyone by calling them retards and dumbfricks.

shite hits personally considering multiple people in my family, including my significant other, are in medicine and have worked the Covid unit.
That ignorance is/was literally killing people and why we are leading the world in deaths. It's the modern equivalent of the idiots in Europe, after consensus was forming about the black plague, still promoting covering themselves in feces, taking urine baths, blaming/attacking the Jews, to fight the black plague
It's like if we created a series of shots, with minimum side effects, that could guarantee with 95% certainty you won't develop severe symptoms or die from heart disease and you had a bunch of idiots spreading bullshite and promoting a lifestyle of ultra high sodium diets instead....Except in this case the disease comes in waves and clogs up the healthcare system so it affects everyone.
If that was what I was trying to do, I'd agree, but we are past the point where science, reason, or logic is going to change an anti-vaxxer's mind, it's simply about not letting ignorance be spread unchallenged or unabated in a way that could affect the next person.
I don't give a shite about someone's feelings who clearly cares so little about their fellow man that they actively spread bullshite that is leading to countless unnecessary deaths. frick those people
