Tied the TD record at 60, still has 11/2 quarters to go. Playing App State in the Boca Raton bowl on ESPN.

Update: just broke the record with over a quarter left.

I mean, that’s cute…. but not really the same thing as doing it in the SEC and against 7 top ten teams. Congratulations though.

He is going to end up tied though with Burrow's overall TD record at 65. Burrow had 60 passing TDs and 5 rushing TDs.

agreed, that's why national stats need a shite-ton of context.

Reminds me of a high school basketball player in Louisiana in the 80s, when I was playing. He averaged 54 points per game, and set a national record for points in a season.

But he played against very poor competition.

He went to Louisiana-Monroe and average 7.5 points.

Context is always key.
