It’s like we’re trying to do shitty in recruiting.. This is so fricking frustrating.

Only a dumbass would want to make coaching decisions based on one recruiting class.

I agree. I think Kelly should be able to hire and fire who he wants. The one think I do not like is getting rid of coaches and not having a replacement to be named. Maybe Baker is taking a DC job which I can not blame him. Kelly knows he was behind the power curve in recruiting and I think he plans on going really heavy in the portal.

Kelly definitely giving us some head scratchers if he is letting some of the better coaches go before he can fill OC/DC positions.

At the end of the day players win games. I’m all for building a good staff and program with discipline, and accountability. That may mean it takes time to make the perfect hire. But if you don’t recruit and bring in talent it’s going to be a long few years. Can’t do that without coaches.

If y’all don’t stfu with this stupid shite. People are allowed to be frustrated with how recruiting is going.

Exactly right. The only messages acceptable on this board are the ones that are perfectly happy with everything that is going on. No room for disagreement. One thing we know is there are a lot of people claiming to know shite when the fact is they don't know shite.

I hear Florida is killing it in recruiting. Go follow them since you can’t handle it.

I’ve been mainly watching A&M poach talent. That will include Perkins and Matthews most likely as long as LSU doesn’t give a shite about solidifying a coaching staff and not paying players.

Glad you’re okay with that.

Nah man, being frustrated is not allowed. Only praising every move is allowed.

As if the doom and gloomers are open to different opinions

Melt if you want but one thing is true and this is not a matter of opinion but fact, we won’t know for sure the long term impact for well, time.

We went 11-11 the last 2 years and have a roster full of holes yet apparently every assistant coach is some irreplaceable ace recruiter.

Unless something changed recently as of this morning, Kelly and Baker spoke and he was staying on.

Some people here would prefer to make coaching decisions based on one single player, much less a class

If that’s the case we need Frank to start taking over recruiting

Kelly isn’t letting baker go. He has an offer to stay it sounds like. He is a candidate for some dc jobs. If leaving I am guessing he is taking one of those.

I was told the only reason he would leave is for a DC job.

LSU would try to keep him by potentially promoting him to a Co DC type role. Where he is more involved. I guess we will see.

Losing out on several in-state, blue chip recruits is supposed to be praised I thought? Having no organized plan for staff hiring and NIL deals is the recipe for success??
