Ask yourself this: "If Jones was dismissed today, who would be the defensive play caller for the bowl game?"
Possible answers:
A) A new DC hire who has no experience with the defense the players know.
B) A new DC hire who tries to implement his defense in less than 60 hours of football activity (20 hrs per week, no more than 4 hrs. per day). Football activity is defined as practice, meetings and film study.
C) Someone presently on staff who has not had this responsibility all year.
D) Stand pat and proceed with DC hire after bowl game.
Which of the above would most likely have the best outcome?

Why does everyone assume O turned him loose? How do you know O was restricting him? The only thing we do know is that Kiffin told O that LSU was predictable and he knew everything they would do. So they changed that and then started doing a lot of cover zero. Which was basically a desperation move that worked for the most part. Alabama wasn't prepared for it and it worked. Arkansas and A&M knew it was coming but didn't have the ability to make LSU pay big time other than a couple of plays. The point is LSU had to have a opponent tell them this, it wasn't something they figured out on their own which is very worrisome. Especially when you consider the amount of support staff and Analyst working at LSU. This should give you a hint that the entire staff is incompetent as worst and at best inexperienced and unqualified.
