Right now we’re projected to get 8 of the top 20 Louisiana recruits……8. That includes Jacoby Matthews who is more of a coin flip between us and A&M. Thank god we have CBK and SW to dig us out of this mess.

Yep. He was the disaster we were afraid we would get. I’m thankful he’s gone but it will take a year to clean up his mess

Obviously. I will never forget these posters for hassling me so much for calling for Ed O to be fired after UCLA game:

NorthshoreTiger76
Jeffsdad
Berniemoore
tigerontherag
LSU badger
Havoc
cbtullis

ALL of the fricks are total bitches who were okay with the sub-mediocrity that was Ed O.

O has plenty of faults but he’s not solely to blame as he was never qualified for this job. Joe Alleva’s dumbass could have avoided all of this by hiring a legit head coach.

Yes. He got lucky as hell in 2019 and then proceeded to drive the program to the landfill. Dude could not manage a lemonade stand.

You can knock the man for lack of organization, etc. but to blame him for lack of recruiting in state talent and recruiting in general is insane!
The dudes recruiting classes are as follows:
Orgeron/LSU Kelly/ND
2017-7 10
2018-15 10
2019-5 15
2020-4 18
2021-3 9
So how is Ed Orgeron at fault for 2022 recruiting woes when our class was ranked 3rd in the country before Woodward fired him(which has been his MO since he’s been here)?!?! Oh, that’s right, we are LSU fans and we lack the ability to acknowledge that there’s always several factors involved in a situation.
The last 3 years LSU’s class rank avg was 4.0 (with 1.0 being the best), ND’s avg over the last 3 years has been 14.0.
So how exactly is the guys 10 classes behind on average the last 3 years gonna save us?!?!

I actually think some of the recruits liked Ed O’s chaos. I mean look how they just walked away after he was fired.
Some didn’t even give BK a chance. At least give one of the winningest coach a chance before you just move on.

Coach O has zero culpability for where this class is. He would have had a better class if he hadn’t been fired and finished the year 6-6.

Brian Kelly will clean up Orgeron's mess just like George W Bush cleaned up Bill Clinton's mess.

O was rightfully canned but let’s be honest, had he been retained it’s likely we land Preston and Anderson

And out of those 20, maybe 13 had offers

There’s a lot that can be blamed for where we are today. The program, the recruiting class.
I think everyone touched on it, even the ones I normally don’t get along with here.
This class was going to suffer to rebuild.
Did you want a rebuild or a nice recruiting class and the same results?

It’s important to realize this was going to happen, we’re going to be set back. But it will turn around quickly. Next year’s class will be so much better, and the state of the program will be thriving.

In the meantime it’s normal to be frustrated. Lose the need for instant gratification though and you’ll be better off.

Almost as if I this could have been predicted of him. Luckily he’s gone now and I’ve confidence in BK to right the ship over the next couple of years. Won’t happen overnight
