The nautical miles that separate us is enough to deter any war threat. They would be wiped out before getting anywhere near Guam.
These "wars" of such powerful nations can only be decided with all out nuclear war. Just like there's no fair street fight, you don't hold anything back when your National sovereignty and existence are in jeopardy. It's all or nothing.

First, don't say smart guy like a smart guy and use the incorrect form of "their". Seriously.
That tech, while having successful testing in certain instances is not consistent. There are still hurdles to making it operational, even the Chinese Sky-2 hypersonic vehicle.
They will be game changers in a conventional war.
Future war will not be conventional. It will be nuclear. Hit us first it doesn't matter. Everything on Earth will die.

Our nuclear subs which have never been pinged by sonar could destroy the entire world. If China launches on us they are guaranteeing their destruction as well.
There is no need for China to partake in a hot war. They are demolishing us economically and even culturally at this point. They aren't arguing over fricking gender and pronouns.

China will defend herself against any US military action directed at China's military forces. China has no plans to attack the USA or its military forces.
China's war on the USA is being won gradually but decisively. There's no turning back now on the domestic political progress of the USA - the USA is indeed Leftist and will only continue to trend Left. China views this as good for China. China understands that TIME is on China's side.
