I still don't understand why Nuss doesn't see the opportunity in front of him but regardless let's ride with whoever

How about telling us exactly what you’re talking about. Don’t see a story about this .

I was initially in this camp, but I think CBK can learn what he needs to know from Nuss in the bowl practices without seeing him in the game. It’s like the NFL scouts that care a lot more about Senior Bowl practice week than they do the actual Senior Bowl game.

No matter whos in there, they don't need to be looking at the sideline the whole play clock for a play. Peetz needs to get it together

You mean that great opportunity to play in one meaningless game and lose an entire season of eligibility. I don't blame Nuss here. Where's your boy Max?

He's either going to be good enough, play 2 more year then enter the draft... or he'll get passed up, ride the bench for a season and transfer. He's playing it like the latter.

1. Despite the fact that it's a bowl, it's still real live competition. He's had very little of this and needs to be exposed to it

2. If he's committed to LSU and wants to be the man, 4 years should be enough for him to do it

3. If he's not, he'll transfer anyway, so who gives a f***

To be fair, most fans expect Howard to be the starter by his second year. The coach is putting out dance videos with him, and possibly bringing in a transfer to start next year. I’d say there’s a good chance he will end up transferring at some point after next year if he doesn’t see himself becoming the starter.

As a QB, you need to fight for every minute of game time you can. You never know when you are going to get another opportunity.

It's so easy for yall to say shite like this when you aren't the one trading in an entire year of eligibility for one game. What happens if he plays the bowl game, and then DOESN'T get the job next year (because playing the bowl game isn't going to give him that one way or the other). Then Howard or another transfer gets hurt middle of the season and Nuss has to come in and once again can't use the RS due to playing too much. And then the next year he does get the job but gets hurt in week 7 and can't use it again due to playing to much. Then his senior year the guy who replaced him keeps the job so Nuss transfers. Or maybe he stays but his senior year he doesn't do that well, he'd be done. Either way he'd only have one year left instead of two. Imagine if Joe Burrow only has 1 year left when he transfers here, he'd have been an UDFA after 2018 instead of #1 overall in 2019.

No one knows what's going to happen in the next few years. So if LSU can't get a waiver (unlikely to happen tbh) Nuss has to choose: one game or an extra year of eligibility. And yall saying he's dumb if he doesn't choose the one game against Kansas State?
