Since my readers only thread didn’t get very much interest at all I take
That to mean most watchers of
The show are casuals direct to netflix(no hate just a description) or fans of the game (95% solely Witcher 3) so I thought a middle group thread might be good. I do have a full on readers thread that’s chock full of spoilers and potential theory’s if that interest you. I imagine this being fine covered by this thread are things like the massive amount of character and lore dump coming in season 2, if you thought 1 was bad and confusing I can’t count 10-12 extremely significant characters who will we brought into this season, although perhaps with rolls dialed back, but episode tiles themselves. Triss already seen where she should be training Ciri with the Witcher’s. I will continue to have hearty in depth dialogue in the readers thread even if the trailer has spoiled a good bit already. ITT if you need some Witcher game backstory light character backstory like who I’m sure you’ll ask 10-15 times this coming season feel free to ask. Specially is familiar yourself with characters like Djkatra, Phillipa, Falka and the whole redanian civil war she started as this season looks to play heavy into radovids younger years and the rises of the lodge

I have not read the books or played the games. I have watched Season 1 three times though. I'm looking forward to Season 2.

Why not call it the "Banana Tiger" thread?

Is this out yet or is this pre-emptive? I forgot the date

I’ve only played the games (played Witcher 3 and the DLCs for about 6 months) saw season 1 3 times and watched the anime Prequel Witcher movie.

Why are you afraid of paragraphs, man?

What did I start with my GOT MG Thread? Now every show based on a book gets one.

Am I the only one who just now noticed that the actor who plays Stregobor is THRAWN?!!

Do Witchers age normally, or slowed down? First episode of season 2 was great.

About to check out and watch a couple of episodes. Thoughts so far?

One of the few shows I can remember where the first time I watched the season I was kinda indifferent; second time around was very good. I think the time jumping lost a lot of people in season 1.

That monster at the end of ep 1 was pretty sick. That was my main problem with the last one. After that flight with the swamp monster in s1 i don't remember a much more after that.
Ep 1 was as a whole was really good imo

I keep falling asleep when watching season 2. Does it get better ?
Oh, did trigger some here? Good. I liked season 1, but so far this has been mostly lame.

The second season was more like Xena Warrior Princess/ Hercules like more than anything. No nude Yennifer or Triss scene, all became racey but tamed.
Jaskier might have cause several witcher death simply by noping out and not giving Geralt the red ball thing to free Ciri.
The story I do like is the Elves, and I really can't blame the elf mage doing what she did, humans treated them like shite so don't be surprise if they have the power to hurt them back.
Not sure where it was going but... guess we'll see.
As far Duny revealed at the end...umm.. What? If hes the fricking emperor of a fricking huge empire why the frick did not just send a missive to Cintra queen and say "So yeah, I'd like my daughter to come live with me?"
I mean the grand mother was fine with him before she act like she didn't know Duny was the emperor and duny head his idenity too..
None of that needed to happened especially since the Empire seem to be way bigger than those northern kingdoms.

Seems like we are now to a point in this thread where spoilers are being discussed.
The series is mildly entertaining, no one can deny that. A lot of criticism coming from the book readers and gamers ive seen is that the show sacrificed a lot of its potential this season. I completely agree.
For me personally, aside from rewriting the story, I dont like that they focused in on the elf story. That was the most boring parts of the books to me. Wish we had laser focused in on Geralt and adapted 2 seasons of the short story books and some original material as filler before we get to Ciri.
The Hansa could have been some great TV...I shutter to think what they will do to Milva now

Freya Allen has turned into an absolutely stunner, a classic Hollywood type beauty that you don’t see much of anymore
I’d gladly lay down my life for her
