Could Brad Davis and Frank Wilson be clues..

… to who our OC and DC targets are? Obviously, many people have talked about Kendal Briles and Pete Goulding for the positions but I find it interesting that the few coaches we do know will be on staff have previous working relationships with both. Frank Wilson gave Goulding his first job as DC at UTSA and Brad Davis worked with Briles at Arkansas just last year.
And given CBK’s reputation for hiring many great assistant and his ability to develop them into future HCs, would be a great move for both of them taking their next step towards getting a top job.

If it was Kendal Briles, you could hire him today. You could have hired him 2 weeks ago.

Rumor(I know I know) has it that Arkansas is fighting to keep him and LSU gave him a deadline of later this week. Probably as true as all the other BS that’s been on here but that’s what’s being said.

Outside of Baylor, Briles doesn’t last more than a season anywhere he goes. Why is that? Asking seriously

Isn’t that the same rumor on LSU’s end? That the present school had upped their offer, and LSU responded with a deadline of Thursday?
Is Briles finkle? Or einhorn Briles?

Briles isn’t leaving. He getting a fat raise. He has an incredible amount of talent coming back on his side of the ball next year with arguably the best QB in the SEC.
You guys haven’t figured out Kelly doesn’t hire big time OC’s? He is the OC. He hires guys like chip long and former qb’s that played for him and gives them OC titles.
You guys aren’t getting a big name OC. Sorry to break the news: nobody wants to work for Kelly as an offensive play called and watch him call plays all Saturday.

He’s trying to rebuild his reputation little by little. His actual skill as a coach exceeds the level of the schools he was coaching at.

To be fair to the guy his last 2 stops before Arkansas he had to leave after 1 year because both head coaches at Florida St and Houston got fired, no choice in those situations.

You are limiting the possibilities by assuming that Kelly and LSU are holding information back instead of still going through the identification and hiring process.

Based on CBK's history, you are right. However, if he were bringing in someone like his norm, I would think it would have already happened.
