Damn. I was hoping for Henry Kissinger. He's been my death pool pick for damn near a decade.

I guess we know she wasn't really a vampire.

At the height of vampire mania in New Orleans around the late 90’s, there were people convinced vampires were real. One person even argued this with me, and claimed I had no idea what really went on in the underground social scene of the decadent wealthy followers of this lifestyle, and had seen it herself.

I bet it would take like 5 pages to describe the room she died in.

Cowboy Mouth posted about her this morning. Apparently she was good friends with them.

In addition to her vampire books she wrote some fairly racy erotic novels under an assumed name

Sad to hear.

Anne was a sweet woman on the phone. She bought internet from me back in college. Left a message on her answering machine and never expected a call back. Sure enough, she calls and I walk her through the setup, put her in touch with the installation crew and talked about southern gothic literature for a bit.

We chatted two or three other times and she was always cheerful and positive.

I expect she was the same in person, but who knows.
