Time for one. What’s the best one I can buy around $500?

I don’t purposely go over the speed limit but got a ticket in French Settlement for 73 in a 45(I was passing someone going way under speed limit)and it’s definitely time.

Do they even fricking work? Someone left two of them in a used truck I bought and I tried using them for a little bit.

Motherfrickers are constantly going off even on interstate. I had to quit using them because it was driving me crazy going off every couple of minutes.

I wonder that myself. I used to love radar detectors, but the newer radars are a lot stealthier, and the cops also use non-radar devices like laser guns.

Look into the valentine.. When they upgrade software you simply send in your old unit & pay shipping / handling. Alot easier than buying a new unit.

Note - This is simply for software, unaware what the upgrade fee is for the entire new unit

If someone was going way under the speed limit then why the frick did you need to go 73 to pass them? You could have gone the speed limit and passed them.

it’s the best as far as detecting Ka band radar, but it is not the easiest to use when compared to others. I use a secondary cheap phone to connect with it and run JBV1.

For simple plug and play, with slightly less detection range, it’s the Uniden R7. No extras needed.

If you were in French Settlement proper there is really no place that it is legit to run 73 there. On 16 there are always curves and plenty of houses where Memaw is backing out into the road. Maybe on the first couple of hundred yards of 42 that is in FS but really nowhere else. Plus highway patrol is sitting beside the bush at city hall a lot of the time if they aren't camped out at the church or fire station.

At least Harry isn't still out there giving tickets to cover the gas in his wife's personal vehicles.
