Bama’s defense hasn’t been the same since the Kirby/Pruitt era. A team with that many 5*s shouldn’t be getting torched like they have several times under PG.

UTSA D was high ranked pass and run d. We know Nick is making decisions at Bama...

I don't mind the idea, could think of better. But to answer your question, UTSA + from La

-Louisiana guy
-Young, great recruiter
-Learned a ton under Saban
-Comes from the same coaching tree as Aranda
-Bama D is much better than you think. It’s hard to be dominant on D when you run the offense they run

The better question is... Why would Golding leave Bama to come to LSU for the same position?

They are top 10.

That’s desirable, I guess?

If you have to ask that then you obviously don’t keep up with college football.

I sometimes wonder if LSU fans understand that the scale for an “elite” defense is not 11ppg like it was in 2003.

Same fans who said they were glad Aranda was gone because “the defense got worse every year” because he went from 3 to 12 to 23 in the country or something like that

Excellent recruiter
Tons of Louisiana ties
Comes from a great coaching tree
Greater schemer
Young and still has a coaching ceiling. He's like 38.

Hard to see him leaving Bama tbh.
