“TJ, Myles, Max... how many QBs have to leave before our fans lower their Heisman trophy expectations

“When is the last time you’ve ever heard a starting QB leave a program? Don’t worry... I’ll wait”

“I’m not debating anymore..

PSA:

Give teenagers a chance to develop as QBs at LSU. You can have expectations, but at the end of the day remember they are 18 or 19 years old next season.”

If Max left because of fan expectations he's a soft whiny bitch.

My only expectation now is to see Nuss ball for two years and hand the reigns over to Walker

LOL, he should go see how Bama fans react when their QB sucks.

If Max left because of expectations, then he is setting the bar too low for himself. Why would you not strive to be the best?

Oh, so it's on the fans?

If a player is hung up on what he PERCIEVES to be the expectations of fans, I would argue that's an organizational problem.

A qb leaving because fans are mean is fricking laughable

Max left because he was going to be passed.

Pretty sure we hired Brian Kelly to undo the internal mindset that the fans should have lower expectations because it may hurt Max Johnson and Myles Brennan’s feelings.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding his tweet, but how exactly did unrealistic expectations lead to both TJ and Myles transferring out when Myles played in like 2 games in 4 years and TJ barely saw the field too? Kind of a dumb arse take tbh

ETA: it seems like, just based on Ed’s rhetoric about fan expectations, etc., that Ed was a whiny passive aggressive bitch about fan expectations in the locker room and wanted to motivate his team by creating an “us against the fans and world” little ole me mentality because he couldn’t create a professional environment, and certain guys ate it up and believe it.

ZVR can say that fan expectations aren’t like this all over the country all he wants, but that’s 10000% false and we just happen to have a good forum format that attracts more viewers than other teams. That’s the only difference between LSU and other programs. It is what it is, not sure how people don’t understand that

Hence why former players were saying this on twitter

that's just a stupid tweet...Max simply not being Heisman worthy isn't the issue people have with him. He's also not likely leaving because fans on social media were mean to him

Guess firing Moffitt was justified. Our players are soft.

There are at least 8 quarterbacks in the portal currently with equal or better stats than Max.
Losing Max gives us a chance at bettering the position.

He throws one pass in practice and all of a sudden he’s a QB expert.
