Can America survive if half the people hate the other half's guts?

Why can't we all just get along?

Not when the lawmakers fuel that hatred for their own, and their chosen party's political gain.

If people don't like competition - they're welcome to go to Europe

Turn off the tv and the outside world isn't as bad as the media leads you to believe.

They’re just diverting our attention to one another vs themselves. It’s working brilliantly.

I basically hate everyone and I'm doing fine. America will still be here when I'm gone.

People will tell you we're not that polarized.
They're right in the sense that 50% of us don't hate the other 50%
But there is a solid 20% swath, perhaps more, that have no business being in the same country as the rest of us. And that contingent is growing.
We may not be on borrowed time, but that's irrelevant because we're already dysfunctional and people are learning to accept the dysfunction. Arguably that's worse than "not surviving."

and this is the root flaw of people thinking of politics now.

its becoming an all or nothing "my team wins or else" mentality.
its not a competition, at all.

Really only about 20% hate the other 20%. The rest of us are just stuck in the middle.

Don't kid yourself into thinking there isn't 10% who hates 90% of y'all.

That 20% has hijacked the Democrat party and has no intent of letting it go. This is their shot!... or so they seem to think.

I look at it like this 25% hate 25% guts
The 50% just don’t care about anything other than some spending money and a cell phone

Nice advice but impossible. We live in a culture that needs constant connection to the outside world through tv, social media, smart phones. You just can’t open Pandora’s box and ignore it or its consequences.

One of the most impactful and repeated quotes from the last Dave Chapelle special: "Twitter isn't real!"
You can't ignore it but you can open people's eyes to it and just be aware of how fake it all is.

Only the half with guns and common sense will survive.
