Well when you have an offense full of first rounders it’s pretty easy to be that good.
In 2018, Ensminger had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Helaire, and the entire O line -- and did nothing with it.

In the 2019, the offense exploded.

I wonder what the difference was.

Well let’s see, Burrow had got there in June, Chase and Marshall were freshmen, Jets was a RS sophomore that had never started. First year under new O-line coach. E hadn’t called a full season in years. So there are plenty of reason why the 2018 team wasn’t great. Listen. I’m not saying Brady isn’t great. But I’m not sure I trust him 100% as an every down play caller.

I know what you think it is but anyone who truly understands the game would say Burrow actually having a full year of development as well as all those wr's in 2018 was huge. Burrow developing chemistry and timing with those wr's in spring and fall camp and individual summer workouts. The mere fact Burrow may be the best leader we have ever had and was able to study football all the time. People forget how great the offense played at the end of 2018 also. JJ and JC have had great rookie years. JB and CEH got injured in their rookie years but both were playing at a high level...they have excelled without Brady on different teams.

Caught balls vs dropped balls it's that easy. 2018 balls were hitting the ground at an alarming rate typically in a critical situation... 2019 summer of 10k catches & hardly shiznit hit the ground. Just sayin

I'm all for Brady coming back but to think Steve E. isn't a capable playcaller is asine.
